Why Online Gambling is Like a Crap Shoot

Do you gamble?  We all do, really.  You gamble your life every day when you walk out the front door, get in your car, cross the street, eat food you let someone else prepare, etc.  But gambling is gambling.  When you gamble online you're gambling twice over because you're risking your money not only on what game you play but also the casino you choose.

There are at least 100 online casinos according to this site.  The name of the site alone, "100 Best Casino Sites", implies there must be more than 100.  With that many casinos to choose from, how do you know you're picking a good one?  I'm not sure a directory of casino sites is going to make the best recommendation for me.  I would want to check them out.

But who has time to do all that?  And you can read casino reviews hoping no one is getting a kickback for telling you how great the casino is.  There are a lot of casino review articles out there.  How do you know one review is better than another?

Maybe the trick is to find a casino that lets you play its games for free.  You can find a lot of free slot games on the Internet.  Some of them even come with reviews.  But are the reviews honest?  Are these guys getting kickbacks too?

I don't mind if someone gets a finder's fee.  I just don't want to pay for that fee with my losses.  If I gamble I want to win.  That's all.

Of course, people can point out that you might get into trouble with a real casino.  If you try to count cards like the MIT team the casinos will probably catch you in the act and ask you to leave.  But there is even advice for avoiding that unfortunate scenario.  These guys have all the angles covered.

But let's start over.  I guess the question you want to ask is "is it safe to gamble online?"  It must be pretty safe because millions of people do it every day.  And there are websites that talk about the pros and cons of online gambling safety.

We're obviously paying a lot of attention to what it takes to get into trouble when you gamble.  But if you ask me I would rather gamble in an offline casino than an online casino.  At least I feel like I can see the casino operation there.

Of course I know that's not true.  It is the casino watching me on their cameras.  But I just feel safer in a real casino.  How about you?
